The Challenges Facing Organisations
In this video, Adam Faiers from ISO Compliance Register interviews Laura Fletcher, managing director of NQA, a leading UKAS/ANAB accredited certification body who provides certification, training and support services for ISO standards.
In this section of the interview, we asked Laura about the challenges organisations are currently facing and what NQA have learnt throughout the year. A focus on risk identification is highlighted, but the main focus for NQA is supporting their clients.
So what does the next year look like for NQA? Laura discusses the focuses on ISO 27001 and cyber risks due to the increase in cyber risks we are experiencing. Information security issues show the fragility of the world and the impact of cyber risks on daily life, making it even more important for NQA to support their clients in these core areas.
Finally, we asked Laura how they balance the introduction of new ISO standards with existing ISO standards. NQA’s role is centred around governance rather than telling clients what to do or what not to do. The core standards are identified as the ‘knitting piece’ of the organisation, however it is important for NQA to look ahead to new standards to support clients on their journey.
