NQA Interview with Amber Dixon Part 3

In this video, Adam Faiers from ISO Compliance Register interviews Amber Dixon, Sustainability Assurance Manager at NQA. NQA is a leading UKAS/ANAB accredited certification body that provides certification, training and support services for ISO standards. 

During the interview, we asked Amber about organisations getting involved with sustainability. As ISO Standards change and start asking questions about climate change, becoming more environmentally focused, the interest in sustainability has grown exponentially among NQA’s clients.  

So, how are companies tackling sustainability standards? NQA has seen a split between clients coming to them purely for carbon and existing clients coming from a management system standard into carbon standards. Existing knowledge about compliance has been helpful for many clients, due to many transferable practices. able.  

Another important factor for getting your organisation into sustainability is a high level of understanding of the business. Knowing the numbers and where carbon emissions are can make it much easier to set environmental objectives.
